Edinburgh is my home town although I don't live there now but it's a beautiful city with lots to see and do for a few days. A day trip to St Andrews is great from Edinburgh too.

This thread is (understandably) Euro/UK centric, with people planning trips originating in Europe and extending long distances to North America. I don't need to get 1500 TPs on this trip, plus I want to stay within a reasonable distance from Europe as this is going to be part of a larger trip centered around Geneva and France.
