Are people who are getting the email offers finding they are better/worse/equal than the in-app offers? Our recent in-app offers have been absurd. My partner just purchased an ORD-SFO for early March. Coach was $159 and First Class was $859. After booking I checked the app for him and upgrade price was $1,304. I've noticed this trend with all his reservations he's booked lately. The in-app upgrade is always more than the going cost of First Class. When considering the coach fare he already paid it's always been cheaper to just call and upfare. All flights are for end of March or sooner.

Not really sure why AA even bothers with the in app offers if they are going to price them way above going rate. Maybe AA members are worse at math than other programs or just like lighting money on fire....so they take these offers? Either way if people are finding the email offers to be better priced I'll start actually keeping a lookout for them.
