I have seen "homemade" signs by guests that they adhere to the door asking not to be disturbed because of their unusual work schedule and/or sleep patterns. If I needed one, it would be written in both English and Spanish .

The mentioning of using the latch is irrelevant here as the main point is not to be disturbed, specifically from sleep.
