There is this, but it is also a form of health and safety checks (depending on where you are). There are a few scenarios that this covers (mainly because there are many moving parts). In some cases this can be mitigated with a few smart techs (although there are concerns in regards to that as well) but they really should implement stuff like "service needed" signs instead of just DND signs.
It’s not health and safety checks when I’ve been in the room. They often have key use logs that they can easily check and I am mostly a one night stay hotel person.
