I noticed this post about lack of showers and its something I have noticed before as well. It would be fair to say that AA is probably one of UA big competitors, or a comparison airline, so why doesnt UA have showers in RCC's or First Lounges (for the most part) when AA has them in many Admirals Clubs? It seems like an intersting question to me, I can easily think of 7 domestic AC's that have multiple showers (nice ones too) and its a given in First Lounges...
