IIRC it is pretty hard to miss the MLL. I believe it is the first prominent feature after the preclearance and you actually need to make a turn away from MLL to get access to the gates.

I could be wrong, but I guess just instructing your colleague to head straight after the preclearance and wait at the first turn?
