Being male, I can't offer any advice based on my own experience . But given that I've never heard anything negative from a few female friends' experiences visiting Naples alone (other than an occasional whistle on the street when they were still young), I'd say do go to, and enjoy the great Napolitan food in this wonderful city and the area.
