For CSR v.s. Ritz, there are other cards that have comparable or even better benefits than CSR now given that CSR loses the pay-yourself-back at 1.5 cents/point. I would go for the Ritz-Carlton card instead of the CSR.
Thanks for your insight! Would you be able to share which cards you believe provide comparable value to you compared to the CSR? I am always looking for cards that better fit my wallet and might be missing some (such as the RC card). One thing I appreciate about CSR and RC card is the priority pass access allowing for not only a somewhat generous access to lounge (RC unlimited guests from what I've read) but they also provide the priority pass restaurant access which to be honest I didn't use often when I had the CSR, but it was nice to use at SFO that had like 2 or 3 of these restaurants.
