We just felt that the communication with that person was difficult, as in I didn’t trust that requests would really be done. I would often contact restaurants or the diving center directly because it was such a hassle to go via the butler. The butler would also sometimes interrupt us while we were eating, and just generally didn’t seem very proactive. It wasn’t bad enough that we felt like asking for someone else, also because we didn’t really need much from the butler (mostly dinner and diving reservations), but I was constantly slightly annoyed when I had to deal with that person.

Maybe it was also about personal chemistry, so I don’t want to name and shame. Instead, I would rather like to praise our current butler, Mahir. He’s absolutely wonderful and extremely proactive. You could request him and I’m sure you’ll be happy.
