This afternoon Guest Relations called me to apologize for the downgrade which was due to them not getting many bookings in Business Class. The agent offered me 1,000 AGR Points and 50 percent off the cost of a Roomette Upgrade so I paid $99 which includeds Metropolitan Lounge Access at LA where I can have breakfast and mximize my sleeping time on the return and who knows my train could be running early on the SW Chief and I get Lunch and a Three Course Dinner on the CS with drinks and even an alcoholic beverage. It beats the First Class upgrade on an airline for the same distance and I get a longer trip.

In a way I hope the CS will run into delays to get more time in my room!
