Interesting. The flights that we are booked on are now, 6 weeks later, still zeroed out in all classes. I passed by the ticketing desk at ATH recently with some time to kill so I decided to ask them. They were totally clueless about these flights and could not confirm themselves if they would operate or not. They then called their backoffice which confirmed...that the flight is not cancelled. Not to worry, it will operate they told me. Right. Meanwhile sales closed on these flights a long time ago with pretty much zero seats booked.

However I'd like to get the confirmation of cancellation so that I can start planning on rebooking these flights. I'm wondering if they keep the flights in this limbo status just so they can decide to operate anyway, last minute, for example for the Easter rush (one of the flights is just before Easter). Perhaps I should give them a call however I'm guessing that complicated rebookings would be more successful if the flights are actually canceled.
