AA Pros to me are (1) better arrivals lounge, and (2) advance seat assignment (I'm OW Ruby though *may* be able to confirm further out via corporate travel dept).
BA Pros are enhanced privacy with doors (I've never flown with doors but understand many see it as a gimmick).
In-flight catering not a consideration.
Other considerations - any feedback helpful
- I'm pretty sure AA has air vents, do BA planes? I'm often hot on an overnight and it can prevent good sleep. I do have a USB fan I can bring if needed.
- AA has the Casper bedding I think. What does BA offer? (E.g., AF's bedding was notably worse than DL, so wondering how this compares).
- AA's Cirrus seats are very good for sleeping; I have less experience with the underlying SuperDiamond seats that I think BA uses. Main concern is about footwell and shoulder size/space.
I will most likely stick with BA CS on the return for better in-flight catering despite better T3 lounges, but open to be swayed...
Ive slept better on AA TATL than on BA clubs suites. I can’t explain exactly the difference I. The seat comfort, but find AA more comfortable.
More importantly, AA cabins are definitely cooler than BA (especially if you shut the door on the BA suite). I think you have the right idea - AA going east and BA going west.
