How much more is F? If you are flying this as a round trip, I might try and press my luck on the outbound leg in Y and then take the money you would have spent to upgrade both legs to PC (if you are considering that) and see if that is enough to upgrade you to F on the return. I know sometimes it's only around $550 on these routes.
