Same hotel 2 weeks ago, I got upgraded to junior suite but no access to club lounge this time, when I asked they said I had to have selected the 40 night benefit.

I've now gone over the 40 nights but don't have any stays planned until 2023, reading the terms of the benefit, I would be as well selecting it in January and then that can give me the lounge benefit until the end of 2024?
