One thing to consider is booking through Hyatt will get you the Hyatt / SLH benefits, i.e. free breakfast, one category upgrade and 2pm check out on availability. I have decided to finally go for Hyatt Globalist next year and booking this hotel through Hyatt seems like a decent deal for those without status, so will probably spend a few nights here next time I’m in Bangkok. I suspect this place is nicer than the Park Hyatt if you don’t care about Globalist benefits but Park Hyatt is one of the Bangkok luxury hotels I haven’t tried yet.
Booking direct with the hotel will probably result in a better upgrade if you have GHA Titanium, but you might have to pay for breakfast as well as missing out on night credits.
The service at Sukhothai is head and shoulders above PH. The property, IMO, is old school Thai and I like it a lot more than the cheap PH construction.
