Also stayed for a single night recently. Overall I was happy. Upgraded on check-in to an exec room which was bigger than I remembered. Later an amenity was dropped off - an innocent smoothie and small box of 2 nice Lily’s chocolates. Very quiet room with a slightly low window.

The lounge was empty when I checked it out. Some cakes provided at 3pm but not many. Small jars of potato chips, peanuts and a big fruit bowl. Soft drinks, nespresso machine but for some reason only takeaway cups. I was going to an event so didn’t go for the evening service. I didn’t notice any refurbishment or changes in the lounge since pre-Covid but IIRC breakfast was available then and isn’t now.

I agree about breakfast - it’s really good (not as good as recently at T4 but still really good), other than the pastries which were the small “Hampton” style for some reason. I went when it opened as usual and they were making barista style coffee for people but I couldn’t really see how they could manage this given the relativity low staffing levels when breakfast was busier later on during service.

Obviously the pool and spa area was closed, maybe the new owners will open it again, who knows. I didn’t have time to use the gym.

I got there by tube to Hounslow West then 81 bus. They told me that the hotel was full the night I stayed but what was nice was that it still seemed very quiet and somehow very comfortable to be in throughout. I would definitely stay again.
