Thanks, whilst there are 6 if us, I'd estimate we'll only have 3 large checked bags, plus carry on, so we can cope with this minor inconvenience if we take this route. The layover outbound is long enough, though only 2.5 hours at DFW on the return.

Hoping the CX / SQ routes are ok price wise when it comes to it, but useful to know the pitfalls of plan B.
