Good callout on the shuttle lines being long. We were visiting on one of the traditionally slowest weeks of the year: Transition week between Halloween and Christmas decorations (Nov 1-3). We still barely got onto the first shuttle of the morning for making park drop, getting to the line 10 minutes before it left. I'd recommend getting breakfast as soon as the restaurant opens (if getting globalist breakfast + rope dropping DLR) and get to the shuttle line ASAP. The shuttle only runs every hour, so if it's full then your options are rideshare, or walking to the Toy Story parking lot (~10 minutes) and taking a Disney shuttle from there. Honestly that's not the worst option, since you pre-clear security at the Toy Story lot. Security has seemed more well staffed recently at the park, but it does still get backed up sometimes.
Note the hotel shuttle does allow standing, so even if the line's long there's still a chance you'll be able to pack in.
