Up until 31 December 2022, there was up to
5.6% RewardCash rebate for overseas / Mainland China spending on the HSBC Visa Signature card, consisting of:
- 0.4% Basic 1x RewardCash
- 2% Allocated 5x RewardCash (if the 'Red Hot Rewards of Your Choice' Overseas and Mainland China spending category is selected)
- 1.2% Extra RewardCash (for all 'Red Hot Rewards of Your Choice' spending categories)
- 2% RewardCash with 'Red Hot Online and Overseas Spending Rewards'
Unfortunately, starting from 1 January 2023, the 2% RewardCash rebate under 'Red Hot Online and Overseas Spending Rewards' has been discontinued. Therefore, the maximum RewardCash rebate for overseas / Mainland China is now
3.6% instead of 5.6%. If my calculations are correct, a 3.6% RewardCash rebate means that HK$2.78 spend = 1 Asia Mile, whereas a 5.6% RewardCash rebate means that HK$1.79 spend = 1 Asia Mile.
