Tried to quote on this last year for our renewal, but no luck since it does not allow the policy to cover over 65’s. Not sure how old the OP is, but that may be a consideration.

Slightly OT, but my main issue with travel insurance is not so much the cover, but the service if you have to claim. Have only had to do that once in over 30 years and b*ggered if I can remember who that was with now, wish I could because service was excellent and claim promptly paid in full with no issues. In theory you can look up lots of review sites nowadays, but I always take the comments with a very large pinch of salt! As with many things I much prefer to pay a little more and have high degree of confidence that if there is a need to claim it will be paid and the process will be hassle free.
