I should know the answer to this one but I don't......!

Am I correct in assuming?:

1. A ticket purchased entirely with Avios earns zero TPs
2. A ticket purchased with money but discounted with Avios (in the final payment page you go for the: Save up to £xxx with Avios) will earn TPs at the normal rate

Sorry for the question but I was unsure and I am creating a complex itinerary doubling as a TP run!
