Delta are correct on this. Which makes DL the only airline on the planet that does not give international first class passengers lounge access.

Not that you're missing much; DL has put very little effort in their premium lounges. Time for them ( and other NA airlines their game). I just flew a Qatar Airlines flight from Qatar to Dubai in first class. The lounge I had acces to was far superior than any lounge in North America.
