I don't get all the complaints about JAL and ANA having too many JGC and SFC members. Yes, their lounges are sometimes crowded, but IME so are the lounges of other airlines in other countries. I've always found priority checkin and priority security on JAL and ANA to be far quicker than the general lines, suggesting that JGC and SFC members are not clogging the priority areas of the airport. In my 19 years as a JGC member and 12 years as an SFC member I've never felt that there were too many elites. On certain routes like HND-ITM there are tons of elite members, but if you go to the UA forum you'll find threads about upgrade lists with 50 or 100+ members. I just haven't experienced the problems that people complain about here regarding too many elites on JANA.
