One additional comment from my recent 5 day stay at the Emerald House, Lisbon. Given any reasonable alternative (including a taco truck) DO NOT eat in the hotel's "restaurant," other than for the breakfast which I'd only recommend if you are getting it for "free" by virtue of gold or diamond status with Hilton.
I had the misfortune of eating the Christmas Eve dinner at the hotel, mostly due to the appearance that virtually none of the nearby restaurants were going to be open for dinner on the 24th. The meal was entirely tasteless and the "wine list," if you can call it that, pathetic beyond words. I couldn't wait to finish and go back to my room.
second that. I booked with Amex Hotel Collections which came with 250 Euro dining credit for 2 nights. I have used room services and dined at the hotel restaurant couple times. Would say food quality during lunch / dinner at the hotel restaurant is the low light of this hotel. However, the bar made some good cocktails which kind of remedied this.
breakfast was good though. Don’t forget the free flow brut that can be found at the bar.
