One of the attractive JGC benefits is the JGC member could pay 5k miles to renew the JGC membership (OW Sapphire) if the member can't earn
at least 35,000 FLY ON Points annually. This benefit keeps JGC members a "forever" Sapphire member on OW.
Will JAL end all of these benefit on 2024? Or, would JAL turnning more like a revenue based airline frequent flyers program (e.g. AA)? The website mentioned the credit card earning, however, the JAL US card is pretty much a "trashy" card makes almost 0 benefits to use. I'm wondering would this make JAL's US based member leave? Or, any other dramatic change would happen? Any ideas?
As others have mentioned, there won't be add'l details until later on.
Though based on what has already been announced, there is no suggestion about transitioning to revenue-based earnings like AA. Website said FLYON will continue to be offered.
The website also clarifies that JALCARD refers to the Japanese cards, not the JAL USA cc.
