Pending charges can remain on an account for up to 10 days at his bank, and despite being the highest supervisor there is, he has no ability to remove the pending charge or release the funds back to an account/card. Charges that post after a day or two can easily be disputed, but when something remains in pending status, it’s a waiting game. I always use a credit card to make big purchases - especially airline tickets. Sure the same principal applies, except it’s available credit that is reduced, not actual funds such as with a debit card.
Well I called my bank and spoke to a supervisor. She asked me a few verification questions and then removed the $440 hold so I have my funds back. Obv this supervisor DID have the power to remove the pending status.
