I really love the reviews and the community giving me insight on things I haven't experienced before.

I guess this is trip for specific people. I booked this with points and I was in enamored with the 10 cents per point I got.

However, I quickly realized that the extra day in Managua and the 4 hour journey to the island isn't for me. I lost 70k of the 105k points because I cancelled a few weeks back. But the possibility of having giardia infection was the thing that really pushed this to a hard no.


This is a subjective judgement, but the best trip reports here don't justify the $4k per night cost...
