Had an unpleasant experience in HAM when LH lost luggage for 5 days while visiting for a wedding. My fancy dress clothing was mostly in my carry on but the rep made clear that only a portion of the cost new clothing would be covered for replacement and in his words, absolutely no electronics, not a charger or, as I inquired a German charging adapter. He was quite insistent even when I pointed out that such an item had a negligible cost. He claimed the electronic exclusion was a set policy and applied to anything :you can plug in". The whole experience was extremely negative and while the guy I spoke to was certainly German, I have no idea if he was in or outsourced and whether they could prevail with such an exclusion.
