I have a medical issue and over the years I have bought some tickets only to have to quickly cancel them because I am unable to travel. Normally within 24 hours the refund is processed right back to my debit card used in the purchase of the ticket. I bought a 1 way ticket for $440 on Wednesday December 28th and unfortunately had to cancel the next day. It was within the 24 full refund cancelation window so I called Delta and spoke to a supervisor through the disability line. She said she processed the cancelation and refund. She also told me she is supposed to tell me it could take up to 7 days to get the refund but it usually takes a much shorter time. And I know that because I have always gotten my money back within 24 hours of canceling the flight. Well it's now going on 4 days and counting and still no money back on my debit card, no refund returned. Is this a cause for concern? 4 days might not seem like a long time but when you are used to always getting a refund back within 1 day or less of cancelation, it seems like an eternity to me. Delta has always had a reputation of making it super easy for customers to get a refund back to the card super fast. I have never seen it go 4 days+. What do you think? Anyone else had to wait this long for a Delta refund or like me, do you always get it back very quickly?
