Thanks for asking! I took 4 flights on SAS and the food was excellent, but I’m a pescatarian and they offered fish options that were perfectly prepared and decent wines. The service was efficient and there was a very basic amenity kit in a reusable shoe bag. SAS provides lounge access for PE, but the lounge in EWR had scant food options and was crowded (on December 1) so I used the nicer Lufthansa lounge across from it (accessible to Star Alliance Gold). I transited through Oslo on my way to and from FRA and the connections in both directions were fine but tight. I found it annoying to listen to all announcements in 3 different languages on the flights from Oslo to FRA and back. The entertainment system had limited selections. Their PE price was considerably less than any other airlines PE price for the same itinerary, yet my trip did not reflect any of the financial difficulties I understand SAS is experiencing.

TAP had by far the friendliest employees, including the staff member that handled check-in. Everything else was very meh and I don’t recall receiving any amenity kit. The only “negative” with TAP was minor. I tried to use the TAP lounge in Lisbon and it was closed, but they were handing out vouchers at the door in some amount of euros to use in the airport upon presentation of your boarding pass. I had just deplaned from a TAP flight from Porto to Lisbon but was connecting to an Air Canada flight. They declined to give me a voucher and when I griped, they told me to speak to Air Canada. Air Canada has no counter that I could find inside security in LIS. But there were lots of good food options at LIS and I didn’t really need the voucher; it just seemed wrong.
