Agree, that's a bit odd and is the standard email you get which essentially says 'yes, we're paying for everything you claimed'. Based on that, without the context you provided I would assume that only £42 had been claimed.
Did all the receipt uploads process correctly? All you can do is get back in touch, payments seem to have ground to a halt over Xmas anyway, I'm still waiting for one they sent me the email about on the 19th.
