I seriously doubt that the OP will be able to persuade LH to pay even 50% for a laptop charger as it would be a fair assumption that the OP would be able to work with on a different laptop/PC until the bag is recovered, to borrow a charger from friends or famility, to get a second charger from the employer etc etc.
I question how the airline can even claim that the destination is "home." The fact that I buy a roundtrip ticket doesn't always mean that I am flying back to my residence at the end of the trip... It could be a part of a longer trip.
