I seriously doubt that the OP will be able to persuade LH to pay even 50% for a laptop charger as it would be a fair assumption that the OP would be able to work with on a different laptop/PC until the bag is recovered, to borrow a charger from friends or famility, to get a second charger from the employer etc etc.
The legal liability is the same, all the OP needs to do is justify the claim.
Unless you can point to Law & regulation that states otherwise ?
