UKtravelbear's answer is to the point! Nevertheless, generally speaking one could say that GVA has smaller (older) buildings and is somewhat cramped. It also has among the smallest and worst lounges that I've experienced in Europe (well, I may be exagerating a bit) while ZRH is good to fitness freaks due to the sometimes extremely long walks to/from the gates.
