Everyone (any kind of visa) is photographed.

I have an OCI and was fingerprinted at my latest entry into India. I only visit once in a year or two, and this is the first time that I can recall that I was fingerprinted, though my memory is hazy and it certainly could have happened before. I looked into it and it seems that India requires OCI applicants to be fingerprinted once in five years, which I'm fine with.

"Biometrics once captured would be valid for next 5 years from the date of enrolment and applicants would not be required to be enrolled again within 5 years. "
