TL;DR The process was a pain and they will not give replacement value by default.
I would be pushing for "FULL" replacement value. I packed 4 button down dress shirts that I picked up on clearance sales for $15 each over time. But Southwest lost those. Southwest probably thinks they owe me $60 less 2 years of depreciation on the shirts so almost nothing. Problem is, now it is Sunday night at 5 PM and I have to be at a client tomorrow morning. It is Southwest's fault I now have no shirts for this week. I have one hour to go find some shirts, shoot, the shirts are $45 each. Well, sorry, I need 4 shirts now, mall closes at 6 PM since it is Sunday, so I am buying. And I am telling Southwest I need $45 reimbursement per shirt since that is what I paid for the replacements. Bad enough you have to waste your time re-accumulating your items, let alone having them try to say they only want to offer you 70%.
