I am designating my DIL for MVP nomination. She is already a mileage member, and travels from west coast to east a few times per year. She uses American, though prefers AS, and I have advised her to credit the miles to AS if she wants to build up her mileage benefits.

I am curious as to what the new MVP experience was like for a spouse/friend or family member who received it.
I realize many here are probably long time elites, so thanks in any case.
