Didn't even realize this thread existed, I'll share a positive experience from last year.

Stayed at the Distrikt hotel in NYC, had a bar charge added to my room bill even though I never visited the bar. Called front desk three times on three days after checkout, nobody was willing to refund the charge or even call me back. Contacted the diamond desk, they got me a refund within 24 hours.
