LH970 at FRA on 30 Dec was cancelled approx. 30 mins prior to boarding. Asked chap at next boarding gate what we could do and he asked us what airports were "nearby" us. He was boarding a flight to LCY, so gave us passes for that. Asked about checked luggage - "don't worry about your luggage", he said. We should have clarified, but we assumed it would be located and loaded on the plane.

When no luggage was spat out on arrival, we checked the receipt to see it was due on the afternoon flight to LCY. Did the delayed luggage thing, got told it would probably be with us the following Wednesday.

My laptop charger was in the luggage, laptop is dead and I need to use my laptop. Is there any precedent to charging LH for the cost of it? AFAIK you can charge for essentials outbound, but not on the return?
