Realistically, you can't put this resort on the same level as the main Hyatt Ziva Cancun (they have dolphins and an ice cream shop!). The Riviera is definitely a step/tier down. However, given that the current cash rates are much more affordable here, depending on your situation this might be suitable.
I agree; I've only been to the old Hyatt Ziva Cancun since we've used points, but if I were paying cash, I'd consider this one. It's odd that it's the same award category despite being priced so much lower.
