Yea, based on your response, I think I'm not going to get much value out of my stay whether it's paid with cash or points. Total waste. Since you know Tokyo way better than me and I apologize for going OT, where do you think I should stay with easy access to NRT? You can PM me if you don't think it's wise to post here.

Not such a busy thread, and it may help others, so might as well post response here.

There's no real pattern to the evening offering besides three cold dishes and one hot dish, usually a choicebetween a fish or meat item. There's also some cheese and cracker like items, and a good selection of alcohol. Here's a recent example:




Personally, I wouldn't go all the way to Tokyo with the limited time you have. I'd recommend the Hilton Narita, but looks a bit pricy for Jan 3rd. Narita Tobu Hotel Airport is good enough for just a place to sleep.
