I also flew KL on New Year's Eve once, in 1993 or 1995. Both years i flew to MEL for the Australian Open. At the time i still worked for KL, and flights were full Dec. 15th - Jan 15th so the best day for non rev travel was Dec. 31st. Ended up in economy and got sparkling wine in Y as well. Plus of course new year wishes from the flightdeck. I don't think i expected anything more.
So, to the OP, what other treats/celebrations are you expecting? Certainly not a firework show?? Or maybe an 'oliebol' , the durch tradionally eat on New years eve?
