I’m not familiar with the intricacies of jetnet, but couldn’t the discrepancy in availability be explained by a weight restriction? Or whatever AA calls optimizing high-yield cargo over people? There could be 20 open seats on the aircraft, but only 1-2 for sale. Seems like a longshot for a domestic flight though,
