As for Ethiopian/Egypt airlines - do they have a good business class? First time heading this way so really only familiar with the US carriers, BA and AF.
We are discussing business class award tickets. The question needs to be what are the best business award seats that I can find for my travel dates.
If you can get AF awards and the flight times are acceptable to you, I would book them in a heartbeat. IMO AF is one of the better business classes among all those flying between North America and Africa. BA is another decent business class, if you can find the seats. Both have associated surcharges that can push up to $1500 per person round trip (maybe more).
If you use UA miles, both ET and MS are fairly generous with award availability. And both have relatively low award fees (typically well under $200 per person round trip). Neither of these airlines offer a state of the art business class hard product.
