Tip: Using Meal Vouchers
If you received an email meal voucher from WestJet due to a delay or cancellation that says it must be used by the following day in one transaction, here is an alternative way to use it right away without losing any value or trying to track down an airport restaurant that will accept it.
The voucher is actually a type of prepaid Mastercard - look on the bottom of the email for the card number, expiry, CVC code and billing zip code. I was able to use mine to add credit to my Starbucks card using the Starbucks app. In the app, just add a new credit card with the card number/expiry/cvc from the voucher, but for the billing address, change the country to USA and use billing zip code from voucher - I used my usual street number, name, city and province. Add the entire value of the voucher at once. As long as you add it to the Starbucks app before the voucher expires, the credit will stay on your Starbucks app with no expiry date.
