May just bite the bullet and fly out in J, that's around an extra £100 or so over Y price but worth it to keep free long haul seat selection for another year. I invariaby fly J in LH so get loungw anyway.
I would guess that calling and asking to booked in the higher fare class will be less than £100 difference. But obviously doesn’t come with the other benefits of Club. I’m pretty sure Economy Plus on its own doesn’t change the fare class.
