Flying CE to Bordeaux later this year and it’s an A320 from Gatwick. BA automatically assigned us Row 3 (D&E) however looking Row 2 is bookable. The Gatwick planes are different in that Row 2 on that side is the first row.
Question: is the seat/view worse in Row 2 for that plane? Is there a window?
Curious as to why they wouldn’t automatically assign Row 2 if I can book it.
If this is a G-GAT* aircraft as it sounds like then 2DF are the front row on that side and there is a window.
I can’t think why you wouldn’t have been put there by default and I have been on number of occasions. I can only assume a glitch, if you can call it that, rather than anything with any real logic. If you like being in the front/bulkhead row, like me, then I see no drawback to picking these seats.
