I am a 1 MM UA flyer who just barely made 1K for 2023 and probably won't make it again. I am a 2MM AA flyer, but haven't really used them much in the last few years because they haven't offered the best routes for me. That leaves me in a quandary - do I stick with UA in 2023 as a 1K, even though I am unlikely to remain a 1K, or do I go ahead and switch my travel back to AA, relying on my 2MM status? Most of my travel in 2023 forward will be either TATL or DC-SFO. Any and all wisdom from this group greatly appreciated!
Why not request to AA match your 1K status so the transition is smoother?
