Hi everyone---so I have a kind of noob question, sorry! I just booked a backup flight on AA a week from now (the original flight is on Southwest, and we all know what's happening in that hellhole...), 4 hours after my originally booked flight is supposed to depart, with the plan to cancel and refund if the original flight actually departs. I booked a web special award with miles. I know those can't be changed but can be fully refunded up till the flight time... but AA doesn't make it clear on the website: can they still be cancelled and refunded after check-in?
