When the merger went through I was ~1 month away (I had the nights, just shy of 10 years) from Lifetime Titanium and got stuck in Lifetime Plat... which is essentially worthless. I haven't found a single property that when I put my Suite Upgrades online that they even offer up a decent room that I wouldn't historically have received anyways. I'm not a consultant so my rooms are always high rev and it seems that elites don't matter, even my wife who is Titanium seldom gets upgraded. The Moana Surfrider has like 8 options considered upgrades that are partial ocean regular sized rooms. A corner room is now like a coveted whale in the upgrade selection window. I remember when Suite upgrades first launched it only counted actual suites. Now they consider non parking lot facing rooms and lol corner rooms.

I miss the SPG days when they cared. Marriott is really garbage. At least they are finally opening some lounges back up, quite the penny pinchers...
